Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development at our Rahway location. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Store management experience in retail or similar environment is preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks commonly required in retail environments
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment
• Exceptional customer service and organizational skills required

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions
• Assist in organizing merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, record-keeping, and loss prevention
• Keep store areas neat and stockroom organized
• Protect store assets including cash and store safety procedures
• Support Store Manager in training and developing Store Associates
• Ensure a safe, respectful environment and professional customer interactions
• Maintain cleanliness of the store, including restrooms and floors
• Other duties as assigned
