Job summary

Family Dollar in Corinth, Mississippi is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with daily activities, help organize merchandise, and ensure compliance with company policies while training Store Associates and maintaining a safe, friendly environment for customers and staff.

The role involves opening/closing duties, inventory control, and maintaining well-stocked floors and clean facilities in a fast-paced retail

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional displays and store-front fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll/scheduling, and cash deposits.
• Maintain a well-stocked store and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; train and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
