Job summary

Family Dollar in Kosciusko, MS is seeking a part-time associate to greet customers, assist with merchandise selection, and complete sales efficiently. You'll support store operations, assist the Store Manager with daily tasks, maintain inventory, support deliveries and replenishment, and help with opening/closing when needed.

The role requires high school completion (or equivalent) and retail or grocery experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Retail or grocery management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet, assist and thank customers in a positive manner, resolving inquiries.
• Provide guidance to store team on operating practices and procedures.
• Open/close duties in absence of store leadership, oversee cashiers and store operations.
• Increase basket size with suggestive selling and promotion awareness.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and organized shelves.
• Uphold a positive image to customers and the community.
• Accurately handle customer funds and process POS transactions.
• Assist unloading deliveries and stocking merchandise from stockroom to floor.
• Support asset protection by maintaining presence and customer service quality.
• Complete all training timely and follow company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Ensure proper record-keeping and cash deposits/receipts.
