Job summary

Family Dollar in Greenwood, Mississippi is seeking a Part-time associate to deliver exceptional customer service, greet customers, assist with merchandise selection, ring transactions, and support store operations under the direction of the Store Manager.

Responsibilities include inventory, stocking, delivery support, opening/closing duties when needed, maintaining store appearance, and teamwork to ensure smooth daily operations.

Qualifications

• Education: Prefer completion of high school or equivalent.
• Experience: Prefer management experience in retail, grocery or drug store environments

Responsibilities

• Guides store team on Family Dollar operating practices and procedures and communicates standards to team members.
• Greets, assists and thanks customers; answers questions and resolves inquiries.
• Handles situations with customers' and company's best interests in mind.
• Increases basket size through suggestive selling and promotion awareness.
• Maintains a clean, well-stocked store for customers.
• Maintains a positive image toward customers and the community.
• Accurately handles customer funds and processes transactions using the POS system.
• Assists unloading merchandise from deliveries and moves stock to the floor; stocks shelves.
• Supports asset protection by maintaining a presence and delivering great service.
• Takes on opening/closing duties in absence of Store Manager or Asst. Manager and assists cashiers.
• Completes all Position Based Training timely.
• Follows all Company Policies and Procedures.
• Performs any other duties as assigned.
