Job summary

Dollar Tree in Bristol, CT is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and staff development. You will help with daily tasks, merchandise flow, and ensuring the store runs smoothly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks as described.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process corporate directives related to store activities
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and record keeping
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards
• Protect and secure store assets and cash
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines
• Help Store Manager supervise and train Store Associates
• Maintain a safe, positive and respectful environment for customers and staff
