Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Danbury, CT to help oversee store operations, deliver outstanding customer service, and develop the team. Responsibilities include supporting opening/closing procedures, coordinating merchandise flow, maintaining stockrooms and sales floors, and ensuring compliance with corporate directives.

The role requires strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on safety and a positive, respectful work environment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
