Job summary

Hibbett I City Gear is seeking an Assistant Manager in Oklahoma to support store operations and customer service excellence. You will assist the Store Manager, supervise staff, and help drive merchandising, restocking, and scheduling to meet store goals.

You will be knowledgeable across departments, promote merchandise, and ensure policy compliance. The role requires leadership in the Store Manager’s absence and a commitment to outstanding customer service.

Qualifications

• Retail experience preferred, footwear and athletic apparel ideal.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-starter with initiative and attention to detail.
• Team-player with passion for outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in controlling store assets and executing action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assume store responsibilities in the Store Manager’s absence.
• Train and evaluate store personnel and provide guidance to staff and customers.
• Maintain inventory awareness, sales stats, and expense control to support profitability.
• Direct staff to ensure department goals and standards are met and communicate trends to management.
• Deliver extraordinary customer service as outlined in the customer service manual.
