Job summary

Scandinavian Designs - Dania Furniture in Kirkland, WA, is seeking a Store Administrative Assistant to join our retail team. This full-time, non-exempt role supports sales operations, payroll, and store admin tasks with a focus on accuracy and service.

You will greet customers, assist management on duty, handle transactions, keep displays tidy, and coordinate with accounting and HRIS systems. Weekend availability required.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused store operations experience preferred.
• Ability to manage payroll and HRIS related tasks.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Familiarity with basic accounting principles and retail policies.
• Proactive team player with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and answer phones professionally.
• Provide leadership on the sales floor and act as manager on duty.
• Coordinate with warehouse for inventory, deliveries and updates.
• Process sales transactions, service orders and refunds accurately.
• Maintain showroom and backroom, tagging merchandise and assisting with changes.
• Assist payroll, PTO and attendance records under policy.
• Support store recruiting, onboarding, and training processes.
• Balance daily cash, bank deposits, and vendor payments.
