STORE/NIGHT LEAD CLERK (Finance)

Direct and supervise all functions, duties, and activities for the department. Support the day-to-day functions of the Grocery operations. Minimum qualifications:

• Effective communication skills
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)

• Prepare and submit seasonal critiques for the sales and merchandising supervisor.

• Stay current with present, future, seasonal, and special ads.
• Monitor and control department expenses.
• Assist store management in preparing the store/department budget, profit and loss reviews, and take appropriate action on financial reports.
• Maintain awareness of inventory and stocking conditions; note discrepancies.
• Schedule daily, weekly, and monthly price changes by updating shelf tags and promotional signs.
• Plan, organize, and supervise inventory processes.
• Train department associates on inventory/stocking and Computer Assisted Ordering.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers are maintained, and logs are kept.
• Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identifying unsafe conditions.
• Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and notifying management of repairs.
• Report customer or employee accidents and safety risks or issues, including illegal activities like robbery, theft, or fraud.
