Responsibilities include:
- Promote trust and respect among associates
- Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions about products and store services
- Maintain knowledge of products and suggest items to customers, informing them of specials
- Check product quality, review sell-by dates, and take appropriate action
- Label, stock, and inventory merchandise, ensuring product freshness and order accuracy
- Report discrepancies in product ordering/shipping to the manager
- Display a positive attitude and stay current with advertisements
- Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain proper temperatures with logs
- Follow safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and report accidents or safety risks
- Perform preventive maintenance and notify management of repairs
- Report any illegal activities, theft, or fraud
- Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations
