Minimum Requirements:

  • Ability to handle stressful situations
  • Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)
  • Effective communication skills

Desired Qualifications:

  • Retail experience
  • Second language skills (speaking, reading, and/or writing)

Responsibilities include:

  • Promote trust and respect among associates
  • Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions and providing product suggestions
  • Maintain knowledge of products and inform customers of specials
  • Check product quality, review sell-by dates, and ensure freshness
  • Label, stock, and inventory merchandise, ensuring customers receive ordered products
  • Report discrepancies in product ordering/shipping
  • Display a positive attitude and stay current with store promotions
  • Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers
  • Follow safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and notify management
  • Inspect equipment and report repairs needed
  • Notify management of accidents or safety risks
  • Report illegal activities, including theft, robbery, or fraud
  • Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
