STORE/NIGHT CLERK (Finance)

Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals established for the department and monitor all established quality assurance standards. Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to handle stressful situations
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)
• Effective communication skills

Desired Qualifications:

• Any retail experience
• Second language (speaking, reading, and/or writing)

Responsibilities include:

• Promoting trust and respect among associates
• Creating a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions about products and store services
• Gaining and maintaining knowledge of products to respond to questions and make suggestions
• Recommending grocery items and informing customers of specials
• Checking product quality and freshness, reviewing sell-by dates, and taking appropriate action
• Labeling, stocking, and inventorying department merchandise, and providing customers with ordered products
• Reporting product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager
• Maintaining a positive attitude and staying current with ads and promotions
• Adhering to food safety regulations and guidelines
• Ensuring proper temperatures in cases and coolers, maintaining temperature logs
• Reinforcing safety programs, complying with safety procedures, and identifying unsafe conditions
• Practicing preventive maintenance and inspecting equipment, reporting repairs needed
• Reporting customer or employee accidents, safety risks, and illegal activities
• Performing essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
