Job summary

Five Below in California is seeking an enthusiastic Store Leader to oversee daily operations. This hourly role covers receiving, stock placement, display setup, opening/closing duties, cash handling, and guest service.

You’ll lead a team of associates, train new hires, and help drive sales while controlling expenses. The position starts at $19.90 per hour, requires at least 2 years of management experience, and favors a high school diploma with strong communication and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the receiving, unpacking, and organizing of new stock to ensure items are quickly and efficiently placed on the sales floor.
• Manages the setup and maintenance of displays for specific store sections, ensuring signage is accurate and promotions are properly highlighted.
• Manages the entire process of opening or closing the store, including securing cash, locking doors, setting alarms, and ensuring smooth daily operation.
• Acts as Manager on Duty when needed, taking full responsibility for store operations, staff management, customer service, and urgent issues.
• Helps oversee the daily activities of all store associates, ensuring they perform duties effectively and provide excellent customer service.
• Supports onboarding and ongoing training of associates, helping them learn store policies, product knowledge, and procedures to improve performance.
• Drives store sales and controls expenses by optimizing merchandising, staff performance, and customer service.
• Executes the market plan by arranging products and signage according to corporate guidelines and ensuring promotional materials are updated.
• Ensures execution of Inventory Integrity processes.
