Job summary

Michaels is hiring a Merchandise Manager for the LA-PASADENA, CA area to drive merchandising and operational execution. You will manage truck processing, inventory routines, planogram sets, pricing accuracy, and promotional execution to ensure a customer-ready store.

You will provide MOD coverage, lead truck and stock flow, and partner with leadership to align staffing with business needs while maintaining visual standards and stock integrity.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in SOP compliance and company programs.
• Ensure execution of policies and store conditions.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage for floor leadership and operations.
• Lead truck execution, unloading, sorting and merchandise flow to sales floor.
• Plan workload and daily tasks with store leadership to match business needs.
• Maintain Store-In-Stock Optimization (SISO) routines for in-stock levels and replenishment.
• Oversee Planogram (POG) execution and visual merchandising standards.
• Support backroom organization and a customer-ready store environment.
• Manage inventory control, ensuring product accuracy and shrink reduction.
• Execute ad sets with compliant promotional signage and product placement.
• Complete timely price changes to maintain pricing integrity across floors and systems.
• Oversee Ship from Store fulfillment and ASN receiving processes.
• Address store damages procedures and safety compliance.
• Train and develop team members through onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
• Uphold asset protection practices to reduce shrink.
