Job summary

Nebraska Furniture Mart Inc. is seeking a Store Merchandising Manager to oversee all merchandising activities in the assigned location and market, ensuring store displays provide a world-class shopping experience.

You will lead the department, coach staff, analyze inventory, and implement pricing for aged inventory while maintaining documented processes and coordinating with advertising and sales teams. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of merchandising and supervisory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in merchandising, marketing, communications, business, or related field preferred.
• 5 years of merchandising experience across multiple categories and 5 years of supervisory/management experience.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Adobe Acrobat and Filemaker skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
• Valid driver’s license and ongoing acceptable driving record.
• Moderate travel required (approximately 20-40% of the time).
• Ability to work night, weekend and/or early morning hours based on business needs.
• Pre-employment screening includes, but isn’t limited to, criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Lead: Oversee the mission and critical measures of your department.
• Support: Coach and develop staff, providing feedback, recognition and timely reviews, and holding them accountable.
• Analyze: Review inventory and manage the inventory life cycle including pricing strategies on aged inventory.
• Plan: Develop and maintain documented processes and procedures for the merchandising work group.
• Communicate: Manage communication with advertising, sales, or visual merchandising regarding planning and promotions.
