Job Description:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The associate is responsible for the following functions, in addition to other duties as assigned:

• Follow established department procedures for receiving and unloading shipments, pricing, and stocking cases to ensure quality, protection, accuracy, and proper rotation of product in cases and coolers.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation requirements as set by the company and mandated by regulations.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal weights, measures, and labeling laws.
• Greet customers and take their orders.
• Cut, tray, and package meat and seafood products required for the day.
• Practice proper safety measures while using all cutting accessories, including wearing mesh gloves when using a knife.
• Participate in pre-inventory preparations, including back stock management and ensuring tags match products.
• Assist in other departments as needed.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position currently has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, the associate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, with or without accommodations. Requirements include:

• High School diploma or GED, plus two years' experience in retail or equivalent education and experience.
