Currently, we operate 71 retail locations across Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. The primary responsibility of a Family Farm and Home Store Manager - Unassigned is to learn the company culture by supporting its core philosophies. Candidates should have strong leadership skills to motivate and supervise staff. The role involves learning about merchandising, shrink control, and store operations. A successful candidate will understand their local market, customer base, seasonal opportunities, competitors, and other factors influencing the business. The Store Manager - Unassigned acts as a role model, leader, problem-solver, and strategic thinker, managing time effectively to meet goals.
This role involves a learning period of 6 to 12 months, after which relocation may be required.
Successful candidates demonstrate leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage with limited supervision. Good communication skills are essential for interacting with customers, vendors, and staff. Candidates should understand customer service, management, and organizational skills, and be comfortable interpreting data for store management. Physical requirements include standing for extended periods, handling merchandise, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Flexibility for working weekends, evenings, and holidays is necessary.
