Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager Candidate in Michigan to support the Store Manager in daily operations, staff supervision, inventory control and merchandising. This role focuses on developing external candidates for the Store Manager position for a limited period.

You will assist in recruiting, manage store processes, and ensure compliance with company policies while maintaining a safe, well-stocked store environment and strong customer service leadership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; retail experience preferred.
• Experience with cash handling and deposit controls.
• Knowledge of inventory, merchandising and store procedures.
• Ability to recruit, train and supervise staff; comply with labor laws.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with store merchandising and pricing according to standards.
• Assist in inventory management, counts and paperwork.
• Follow ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide customer service leadership and cashier accountability.
