Job summary

Rent One, Inc. is seeking a Store Manager Trainee in Marion, IL to learn and oversee all daily store operations, ensuring a safe, engaging environment for employees and delivering best-in-class service to customers.

You will participate in an on-site training program designed to develop leadership, people management, and operational excellence skills, with opportunities for growth and advancement within the Rent One network.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of supervisory or management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Previous rent-to-own and/or retail home furnishing experience desirable, but not necessary.
• Must have a valid driver's license and maintain a driving record that complies with organizations standards.

Responsibilities

• Learn how to manage all aspects of daily store operations including:
• Protect employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment.
• Ensure employee engagement and motivation while fostering a positive workplace and culture.
• Maximize store performance and efficiency through proper hiring, scheduling, training, performance management and mentoring initiatives.
• Oversee and direct the management of store: security, cash, financials, marketing initiatives, deliverables, recordkeeping, legal requirements, and reporting activities.
• Oversee and direct inventory control and ensure all merchandise is clean, attractive, and organized.
• Identify current and future customer requirements to stay responsive to market demands.
• Maintains the stability and reputation of the Rent One brand within the community you serve.
• Any other ad hoc tasks and/or responsibilities that may arise during daily operations.
