Job summary

Rent One, Inc. is building a Manager in Training (MIT) program to develop future Store Managers. You will gain hands-on experience across store operations, employee development, and customer service, with clear paths to advancement and competitive pay.

Successful MITs transition into Store Manager roles, leading teams, managing performance, and driving sales while upholding Rent One’s service standards. This role emphasizes growth, training, and inside-out leadership.

Qualifications

• 2 - 4 years of supervisory or management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Previous rent-to-own and/or retail home furnishings experience is desirable, but not necessary (we train!).

Responsibilities

• Learn how to manage all aspects of daily store operations.
• Protect employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment.
• Ensure employee engagement and motivation while fostering a positive workplace and culture.
• Maximize store performance and efficiency through proper hiring, scheduling, training, performance management, and mentoring.
• Oversee inventory control and ensure merchandise is clean, attractive, and organized.
• Identify customer requirements to stay responsive to market demands.
• Maintain Rent One brand reputation in the community.
• Handle ad hoc tasks that arise during daily operations.
