Job summary

Walgreens in the United States offers an accelerated Store Manager development track designed to rotate through front-end and pharmacy operations. Trainees learn to lead the store under the guidance of the Store Manager and District Manager, completing classroom, online, and on-the-job training.

Participants work on customer experience, inventory, compliance, and performance management while pursuing required certifications and a pharmacy technician registration as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years retail management experience, or HS diploma with 5 years retail management.
• Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including extended days, evenings, and weekend hours.
• Willingness to transfer to other Walgreens retail assets located within the same hiring Area.

Responsibilities

• Oversees front-end and pharmacy operations under Store Manager.
• Shadow Store Manager to gain experience opening/closing shifts and delegating tasks.
• Analyze store performance and identify opportunities to improve sales and inventory control.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
