FirstCash Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Store Manager Trainee in Baton Rouge to lead day-to-day store operations alongside the Store Manager. You will recruit, develop staff, and drive profitability while maintaining customer satisfaction in a jewelry and general merchandise environment.

The role offers an hourly wage with commission based on productivity and a bonus tied to store performance. Local factors and experience affect actual pay.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year retail management experience.
• Cash handling experience is required.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Analytical skills are important.
• Computer literate and able to operate POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly and professional manner and rapidly addressing customer issues.
• Monitor and assist in the training of Pawnbrokers to meet FirstCash standards.
• Recruit top talent by sourcing candidates through company-prescribed channels.
• Opens and closes the store, counts cash drawers and merchandise, and protects assets.
• Ensure asset protection through inventory control and safekeeping procedures.
• Administer store processes including inventory, loan management, merchandising, and reporting.
• Evaluate store financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal-setting.
• Ensure operating standards meet FirstCash standards.
• Monitor loan qualification and buying processes for value and integrity of loans.
• Complete tasks and training for self-development as requested.
• Communicate clearly with employees to share the store’s mission and objectives.
• Remain up-to-date on product knowledge.
• Assistant Store Manager acts as manager on duty in absence of Store Manager.
