Job summary

Goodwill NCW in Wisconsin seeks a Store Leader to oversee the donation door to floor process, driving a customer-centric experience and aligning operations with forecasted sales and production plans.

You will lead hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, scheduling and safety, while partnering with the community and managing budgets and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of leadership experience preferred.
• Excellent time management and ability to multitask under time constraints.
• Excellent communication, customer service and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Outlook.
• Experience with reporting and dashboard tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the donation door to store floor process, ensuring proper stewardship of donations and creating a customer-centric experience for shoppers.
• Implements business strategies to ensure store meets or exceeds forecasted sales and production plans.
• Responsible for the financial and operational status in assigned store, including people, staffing, payroll, store growth, expenses, mission integration, budgeting, and safety.
• Implements and sustains department SOPs to maintain standards of store presentation, organization, facility layout and maintenance, quality control, safety standards, and policies.
• Leads team through hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, mentoring and development of team members.
• Engages with community members on mission awareness and advancement.
• Ensures regulatory compliance, conducts audits, and promotes safe work practices.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsible for the financial and operational status in assigned store, including people, sales, staffing, scheduling, payroll, store growth, expenses, mission integration, budgeting, and safety.Implements and sustains department standard operating procedures to maintain standards of store presentation, organization, facility layout and maintenance, quality control, safety standards, and all organizational policies and procedures.Manages change through effective planning, communication, and coaching.Maintains a consistent presence through the store, engaging and seeking feedback from team members.Ensures regulatory compliance, conducts facility and equipment audits, and promotes safe work practices aligned with safety standards.Implements marketing, advertising, and communication strategies and works with community members on mission awareness and advancement.Leads team through hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, mentoring and development of team members to create a high performing team including cross training of skills.Other duties as assigned.What We Need From You:Bachelor’s degree in related field is preferred.5+ years of leadership experience preferred.Excellent time management and prioritization skills and the ability to work through multiple tasks simultaneously under time constraints.Excellent communication, customer service and attention to detail.Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.At least a basic level of competency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Outlook.Experience with reporting and dashboard tools.Ability to maintain confidentiality.A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and the ability to travel to other locations is required.Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, evenings, and weekends, with regular and timely attendance in accordance with the assigned work schedule.Work Environment:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the key functions of this job.Work is performed primarily in a standard retail backroom or warehouse environment with extensive team member contact and frequent interruptions.Primary function requires sufficient physical ability to repetitively:Sit or stand for prolonged periods of time (up to 8 hours).Independently twist, lift, carry, push or pull moderate (10 pounds) to heavy (25 pounds) of weight; using a team lift for objects weighing over 25 pounds.Reach (approximately 54 inches).Frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch.Sufficient hand and finger dexterity to perform detailed tasks.Verbally communicate to exchange information.
