Job Summary

We are seeking dedicated and hands-on Store Managers to lead operations at our busy grocery outlets across The Gambia. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys solving problems on the ground, and takes pride in leading a team toward excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all daily store operations, including inventory, cleanliness, and security
• Lead a team that includes up to three assistant managers and fifteen store staff
• Create and manage staff shift schedules to ensure proper coverage and efficiency
• Train and mentor assistant managers and staff for growth and accountability
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate restocking with warehouse and suppliers
• Handle daily financial reporting, cash counts, and inventory accuracy
• Implement promotional plans and drive in-store sales
• Maintain customer service standards and store presentation
• Report weekly KPIs to the head office and enforce operational policies
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years experience in retail or grocery store management
• Strong leadership skills with proven ability to manage large teams
• Experience establishing shift rotations and team accountability
• Proficient in basic Excel and point-of-sale systems
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Fluent in English; knowledge of local Gambian languages is a plus
