Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store Plymouth in Plymouth, IN is seeking a dynamic Store Manager to lead daily operations, drive sales, and oversee staff in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will recruit, train, and supervise team members, manage scheduling and payroll, ensure safety compliance, maintain donation processing and inventory, and deliver exceptional customer service while upholding the organization's mission in the community.

Qualifications

• 2 years' experience in staff management and development or combination of education and experience.
• Ability to lead and develop a retail team to deliver strong performance.
• Proficiency in cash handling and basic financial management.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Strong English communication with customers, management and coworkers.
• Basic computer skills including POS, payroll, and Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead recruitment, training, and supervision of store staff.
• Manage scheduling and payroll processing.
• Implement company policies and practices in employee relations.
• Develop and implement strategies to meet production and sales goals.
• Oversee donation processes, product sorting, pricing, and presentation.
• Manage store maintenance, safety and appearance.
• Ensure OSHA and Salvation Army safety policies are followed.
• Create an enjoyable shopping environment and handle customer interactions.
• Oversee cash handling procedures and daily deposits.
• Provide daily reports to Regional Manager and Department Heads.
