Job summary

Qualifications

• Read and interpret documents, diagrams, and safety rules.
• Perform basic arithmetic, percentages and calculations.
• Know cash handling procedures and cashier accountability.
• Use IBM cash registers to generate reports.
• Understand inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Communicate clearly, both orally and in writing.
• Work well with others and provide customer service leadership.
• Recruit, interview and onboard staff while ensuring compliance with laws.
• Follow cash, safety and facility policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees per laws and policy; ensure staffing.
• Provide training, conduct performance evaluations and counsel as needed.
• Advise on pay rate and advancement opportunities.
• Communicate performance expectations; coordinate safety and policy meetings.
• Open/close store as required, maintain staffing and schedule adherence.
• Review operating statements for sales, profitability and trends.
• Monitor stock levels and manage ordering plans and cycle counts.
• Stock, stage and store merchandise per company processes.
• Ensure merchandise presentation and pricing accuracy.
• Maintain accurate inventory and protect assets including cash.
• Ensure security procedures and cash controls are followed.
• Provide superior customer service leadership.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized store.
• Ensure proper tools and supplies are available for tasks.
• Adhere to SOPs and company communications; complete paperwork on time.
