Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Ability to recruit, hire and train qualified applicants.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to laws and company policies; ensure store is properly staffed.
• Provide proper training for employees; conduct performance evaluations; identify gaps and counsel as needed.
• Make recommendations regarding employee pay rate and advancement.
• Communicate performance, conduct and safety expectations; coordinate meetings and events.
• Ensure store is opened and closed as required; supervise daily start and end procedures.
• Evaluate operating statements to identify trends, profitability, and turn; monitor expenses and shrink.
• Order and monitor inventory to meet in-stock targets; follow up on stock replenishment.
• Facilitate staging, stocking and merchandising following company processes; ensure proper signage and pricing.
• Maintain inventory accuracy by controlling damages, markdowns and paperwork.
• Ensure cash handling integrity and security procedures are followed.
• Provide superior customer service leadership and maintain a safe, clean store.
• Ensure tools and equipment are available; comply with SOPs and deadlines.
