Qualifications

• High school diploma strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in retail preferred.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees per labor laws and company policies.
• Provide proper training; conduct performance evaluations; identify gaps and counsel.
• Make recommendations regarding pay rate and advancement.
• Communicate performance, conduct and safety expectations; coordinate meetings.
• Ensure the store is staffed and opened/closed as required (min. twice weekly).
• Evaluate operating statements to identify trends, profitability, and expenses.
• Review ordering plans; manage stock and cycle counts weekly.
• Facilitate efficient staging, stocking and storage of merchandise.
• Ensure merchandise presentation meets established practices; manage pricing and signage.
• Maintain inventory accuracy; control damages, markdowns and cash.
• Provide superior customer service leadership and a safe store environment.
