Job summary

Journeys in Maryland is seeking a store manager to lead a high-energy team, drive sales, control expenses, and protect company assets while delivering an engaging customer experience.

The role includes recruiting and developing staff, planning weekly schedules, coaching performance, supervising loss prevention, and upholding Journeys' culture of integrity and self-expression. Prior retail management and weekend/evening availability are required.

Qualifications

• Prior retail management experience preferred.
• 1–2 years retail sales experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to work 45 hours per week.
• Willingness to work night and weekend shifts.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Meet and exceed store and personal sales goals.
• Recruit, interview, and hire high-caliber employees.
• Train and develop a successful sales team.
• Provide feedback, coaching, and accountability to all employees.
• Ensure that all company initiatives are implemented to standard.
• Conduct monthly performance reviews.
• Supervise daily store operations and loss prevention.
• Plan weekly staffing schedules.
• Provide a fun, full-service experience to all customers.
• Resolve customer issues effectively.
