Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager to lead daily store operations, staffing, training and customer service at a Kentucky location. You will supervise employees, ensure compliance with policies, manage inventory, and drive sales while maintaining a safe, clean shopping environment.

The role requires strong leadership, cash handling experience, and the ability to optimize inventory and staffing. Prior retail management is preferred and bilingual skills may be a plus depending on location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish speakers may be preferred at certain store locations.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and safety controls.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees in compliance with laws and policies.
• Provide training, performance evaluations, and counseling as needed.
• Ensure staffing levels meet store requirements and oversee opening/closing.
• Monitor sales, expenses and inventory to identify trends and opportunities.
• Oversee stock replenishment, merchandising, pricing and signage accuracy.
• Maintain cash controls, cashier accountability and secure cash handling.
