Job summary

Dollar General Corporation seeks a Store Manager in Ohio to lead daily store operations, staffing, and customer service. You will drive sales, manage inventory, and ensure compliance with policies and safety standards.

You will recruit and train staff, set performance expectations, and open/close the store as needed while optimizing profitability and maintaining a safe shopping environment for customers and associates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; strong preference for management experience in retail.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, procedures, and manuals.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposit controls.

Responsibilities

• Oversee store processes: ordering, receiving, stocking, presentation, selling, staffing, and support.
• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees per labor laws and policies; ensure proper staffing.
• Provide training, conduct evaluations, identify gaps and coach or terminate as needed.
• Communicate performance, conduct, safety expectations; lead meetings to enforce policies.
• Open/close the store as required; manage scheduling and operations daily.
• Analyze sales trends, profitability, expenses, and shrink; address issues promptly.
• Ensure in-stock targets are met; manage inventory and cycle counts weekly.
• Ensure proper merchandising presentation, pricing, signage, and fixtures.
