Qualifications

• 5+ years of retail management experience in a Big Box or Specialty environment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift and move boxes weighing up to 40 lbs.
• Experience utilizing scheduling and reporting software.
• Travel may be required from time to time.

Responsibilities

• Direct management of Assistant Managers, Supervisors, and Store Associates to ensure implementation of established company policies, standards, expectations and initiatives.
• Ensure Assistant Managers and store team members fulfill their responsibilities.
• Partner with Assistant Store Manager, Merchandising to coordinate merchandise placement, promotions and pricing.
• Partner with Assistant Store Manager, Operations to review receiving, transfers, debits/damages, RTVs, and chargeback paperwork for inventory accuracy.
• Act as Manager on Duty; lead by example and model Burlington SOPs.
• Manage multi-million-dollar sales volume and expense budget with reporting and record-keeping.
• Recruitment, screening and hiring of associates to meet staffing needs.
• Onboarding and training for new associates; provide coaching and structured development.
• Handle personnel and associate relations issues.
• Payroll budget management and scheduling.
• Foster effective communication among store, district, regional teams and partners.
