Ace Hardware is seeking a Store Manager to lead day-to-day operations, maximize sales and profitability, and ensure high standards of customer service. The role involves developing the store’s management team and associates while maintaining inventory and store presentation.

The candidate should have strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills, with experience in retail P&L ownership and the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of leadership experience in a retail setting.
• Proven ownership of a store P&L or operating budget.
• Experience managing other supervisors or managers.
• Hardware product knowledge, or willingness to learn.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to motivate and lead associates in a fair and impartial manner.

Responsabilités

• Hire, train and develop associates, provide ongoing performance feedback, and recognize accomplishments
• Supervise staff to make sure sales goals are met and company procedures are followed
• Conduct associate evaluations and work with the management team to address opportunities with urgency
• Forecast scheduling needs, create work schedules, and manage payroll within budget
• Partner with Human Resources and the General Manager on staffing decisions
• Develop and carry out in-store marketing, including promotions, events and seasonal merchandising
• Delegate daily work to meet Ace Hardware merchandising and visual presentation standards
• Make customer service the #1 priority by observing and coaching associates on the sales floor, and document observations
• Lead team huddles and store meetings to share store performance and keep the team engaged
• Review customer service results and build plans to improve
• Maintain accurate inventory through receiving, transfers and inventory reports
• Oversee all associate training, including new-hire orientation and vendor training
• Enforce safety policies and conduct safety and fire inspections
