About the Role
As a Store Manager, you’ll be responsible for the total holistic omni customer experience in your store, ensuring high visual and commercial standards according to the store format location and global & regional strategies. You will lead the full store team to excel, creating an inclusive culture that promotes collaboration and entrepreneurial spirit. You’ll analyze sales and follow up on results, creating plans to optimize profits.


A Day in the Life
Working at H&M means no two days are ever the same, but typical responsibilities include:

  • Managing the omni customer experience, visual presentation, and commercial standards according to guidelines
  • Representing the H&M brand positively during customer interactions
  • Analyzing sales, setting goals, and creating plans to meet targets
  • Providing personal customer service and guiding customers through fashion stories
  • Promoting customer loyalty and sustainability initiatives
  • Planning staff schedules aligned with sales goals
  • Ensuring routines in fitting rooms and checkout are followed
  • Identifying commercial opportunities and maintaining competitor awareness
  • Managing store maintenance cost-effectively
  • Handling administrative routines for people and operations

Fashion & Trend Awareness

  • Staying updated on fashion trends, styles, brands, competitors, and influencers
  • Ensuring the team provides product and fashion knowledge to customers
  • Understanding the local area, customer base, and market trends

Team & Development

  • Talent and performance management: recruiting, onboarding, upskilling, developing
  • Conducting performance evaluations and succession planning
  • Sharing knowledge and fostering collaboration with the leadership team
  • Planning and scheduling team activities
  • Communicating regularly to motivate and inspire staff
  • Ensuring procedures, routines, security, and legal requirements are followed
  • Participating in onboarding, training, and development programs

Retail Operations/Visual & Commercial Execution

  • Maintaining a clean and organized sales floor and back of house
  • Ensuring high-quality visual presentation and garment care
  • Managing stock levels and providing input on allocation
  • Supporting daily opening and closing routines
  • Overseeing garment cycle, fitting room routines, and in-store tech tools
  • Maintaining price signs and store signage according to standards
  • Keeping BOH areas tidy and informative
Qualifications
