Job summary

A rapidly growing cookie retailer is seeking a full-time Store Manager in Training in Raleigh, NC. Responsibilities include leading staff, onboarding new hires, and ensuring outstanding customer service. Candidates should have at least 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role, a passion for customer engagement, and the ability to thrive in a fun, fast-paced environment. Qualifications

At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant or retail store.
Prior experience conducting in-person interviews of hourly support staff.
Ability to work a 4-5 day work week and 1-2 mid-to-late shifts throughout the latter part of the week.
Ability to work 4–5 days per week, including late shifts Thu–Sun.
Must be 18+ and eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Perform as Manager-on-Duty during scheduled shifts when Store Ops Manager is not present.
Lead new hourly staff onboarding and initial training.
Support Store Ops Manager with ordering, inventory control and scheduling.
Conduct interviews for new hires in the manager's absence.
Support ordering, inventory control and scheduling for the store.
Hold staff accountable to Insomnia Cookies’ standards and provide excellent service.
Upsell and ensure high-quality customer interactions across shifts.

What will I do as a MIT with Insomnia Cookies?

Perform as Manager-on-Duty during scheduled shifts when Store Ops Manager (GM) is not present
Supervise, train and coach 2-5 team members engaged in both cookie sales and customer deliveries
Lead new hourly staff onboarding and initial training
Conduct initial interviews for potential new hires (Cookie Crew, Shift Leaders and Delivery Drivers) in the manager’s absence
Support Store Ops Manager with ordering, inventory control and scheduling
Hold staff accountable to Insomnia Cookies’ standards (baking, uniform, company policies, etc.)
Upselling and overall customer service excellence - Ensuring all team members are also upselling and providing the best customer service

Desired skills/experience:

At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant or retail store
Prior experience conducting in-person interviews of hourly support staff
Prior Point of Sale (POS) systems experience
Ability to utilize MS Office, Word and our Applicant Tracking System
Ability to work a 4-5 day work week and 1-2 mid-to-late shifts throughout the latter part of the week (Thurs- Sun)
Must be 18 years of age or older and have legal eligibility for employment in the United States
