Maplefields in Vermont is hiring an Assistant Manager/Manager in Training to oversee store operations in the absence of a manager. You will help recruit, train and develop staff while ensuring company standards are met.

Responsibilities include supervising daily activities, maintaining store appearance, handling merchandise and following vendor and safety procedures to support a smooth operation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting, hiring and training individuals to provide exceptional customer service.
• Coordinate and participate in all functions and duties of operating a convenience store, including cash handling.
• Create a positive work environment and train store staff.
• Enforce daily operating procedures and maintain a clean, stocked, organized store.
• Manage merchandise displays, pricing and vendor communications.
• Ensure environmental, spill response and safety procedures are followed.
• Document incidents and communicate with upper management.
