Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking a Store Manager in Training to lead and learn the profitable operations of an assigned store. You’ll train on merchandising, display techniques, and store signage to create an inviting shopping environment for customers and associates alike.

In this role you’ll recruit and develop associates, oversee daily store activities, ensure legal compliance, and implement directives from corporate headquarters to maximize profit while protecting assets and delivering outstanding

Qualifications

• 3+ years of retail management experience preferred.
• Experience with hardlines or variety merchandise; BIG BOX experience is a plus.
• Strong productivity management in freight processing required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Ability to lift 30–50 lbs. from floor to shoulder height and perform frequent mobility tasks.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and hire store associates to serve our customers.
• Foster growth and development of associates through training and coaching.
• Oversee and delegate all store activities to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Ensure full compliance with laws and company policies and procedures.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Implement operational and merchandising directions from corporate headquarters.
• Help the store reach its maximum profit contribution.
• Protect company assets.
• Maintain a high level of customer service across the store.
