Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking a Store Manager in Training who will learn to run a profitable Dollar Tree store with strong merchandising, display, and customer service standards.

You'll recruit and develop associates, oversee daily operations, ensure compliance, and implement corporate directives while driving store profitability and a positive, safe environment. This hands-on program includes leadership coaching and performance goals.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail management experience preferred.
• Experience with hardlines/variety merchandise; BIG BOX experience a plus.
• Strong freight processing productivity management required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment required.
• Lifting 30-50 lbs and frequent mobility required.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and hire store associates to serve our customers
• Foster growth and development of associates through training on operations and merchandising while coaching and correcting when appropriate
• Oversee and delegate all store activities to ensure smooth daily operations
• Ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, while enforcing company policies and procedures
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Implement operational and merchandising direction that is communicated from our corporate headquarters
• Help your store reach its maximum profit contribution
• Protect company assets
• Maintain a high level of customer service across the store
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders
