Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking a Store Manager in Training in South Bend, IN to learn how to run store operations, merchandising, and customer service at a high level. You will participate in on-the-job training and collaborate with leaders to drive performance.

You will recruit and develop associates, oversee daily store activities, ensure compliance, and implement directives from corporate HQ, while maintaining a welcoming, safe environment and protecting company assets. A quarterly bonus is possible.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years prior retail management experience is preferred.
• Experience with hardlines or variety merchandise; BIG BOX experience a plus is preferred.
• Strong productivity management in freight processing is required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Must be able to lift 30 to 50 lbs and perform frequent lifting and standing.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and hire store associates to serve customers.
• Foster growth and development of associates through training on operations and merchandising.
• Oversee and delegate all store activities to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, while enforcing company policies.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Implement operational and merchandising direction from corporate headquarters.
• Help store reach its maximum profit contribution.
• Protect company assets.
• Maintain a high level of customer service across the store.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with professional interactions.
