Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. is seeking a Store Manager in Training to lead a store team while learning to manage profitable store operations. You will focus on merchandising, signage, and inviting store presentation to create a welcoming environment for customers and associates.

Responsibilities include recruiting and coaching staff, overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance, and implementing directives from corporate. A quarterly bonus is available upon performance milestones.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of retail management experience preferred.
• Experience with hardlines or variety merchandise; BIG BOX experience a plus.
• Strong productivity management in freight processing required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs., and perform related physical duties.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and hire store associates to serve customers.
• Coach and develop associates through training on operations and merchandising.
• Oversee and delegate store activities to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Ensure compliance with laws and company policies.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Implement corporate merchandising and operational directions.
• Help the store reach its maximum profit contribution.
• Protect company assets and maintain customer service standards.
