Dollar Tree Stores in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a Store Manager in Training to learn how to manage profitable store operations, merchandising, signage, and customer experience. This on-the-job program develops your leadership and operational skills.

You will recruit and develop associates, oversee daily store activities, ensure compliance, handle opening and closing duties, and drive sales while maintaining a safe, welcoming atmosphere. A quarterly bonus is available for performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years prior retail management experience is preferred.
• Experience with hardlines or variety merchandise; BIG BOX experience a plus is preferred.
• Strong productivity management in freight processing is required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required
• Must be able to lift 30 to 50 lbs. and handle stairs, walking, standing for long periods

Responsibilities

• Recruit and hire store associates to serve our customers.
• Foster development of associates through training on operations and merchandising.
• Oversee and delegate all store activities to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Ensure full compliance with laws and company policies and procedures.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Implement operational and merchandising direction from corporate.
• Help the store reach its maximum profit contribution.
• Protect company assets and maintain customer service standards.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
