Job summary

Responsibilities include recruiting, stocking, managing inventories, ensuring cash controls, and maintaining a safe, well-organized store.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret diagrams, safety rules, and procedures manuals.
• Ability to perform basic math including percentages and calculations.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposit controls.
• Familiarity with IBM cash register functions and reporting.
• Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Knowledge of cash, safety controls, and store security procedures.
• Experience recruiting, interviewing and hiring within a retail environment is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to solve problems with limited standardization; bilingual Spanish may be preferred in some locations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with merchandising and staging, pricing and display management.
• Assist inventory management including damages, markdowns and stock checks.
• Follow ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide leadership in customer service and store operations.
• Adhere to company procedures and policies as outlined in handbooks and SOPs.
• Participate in store opening and closing activities.
• Ensure safe deposit of company funds and cashier accountability.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked stores and safe environment.
• Operate store in manager's absence and review business performance metrics.
