Job summary

Dollar Tree in Memphis is seeking a StoreManager in Training to learn profitable store operations through on-the-job coaching. You will manage merchandising, placement, and display techniques to create an inviting shopping environment and lead store activities with emphasis on customer service.

Responsibilities include recruiting staff, training, daily operations oversight, policy compliance, and implementing guidance from headquarters to maximize profit and protect assets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years prior retail management experience is preferred.
• Experience with hardlines or variety merchandise; BIG BOX experience a plus is preferred.
• Strong productivity management in freight processing is required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height; frequent moving and standing.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and hire store associates to serve our customers.
• Foster growth and development of associates through training on operations and merchandising.
• Oversee and delegate all store activities to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, while enforcing company policies.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Implement operational and merchandising direction from corporate HQ.
• Help your store reach its maximum profit contribution.
• Protect company assets.
• Maintain a high level of customer service across the store.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and associates.
