Dollar Tree in Terre Haute, IN is seeking a Store Manager in Training who will learn to run a profitable store through hands-on coaching, merchandising, and customer service excellence.

You will recruit and develop associates, oversee daily operations, ensure compliance, and implement directives from corporate headquarters while striving to maximize profit and maintain a safe, friendly shopping environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years prior retail management experience is preferred.
• Experience with hardlines or variety merchandise; BIG BOX experience a plus is preferred.
• Strong productivity management in freight processing is required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Must be able to lift 30 to 50 lbs and handle frequent walking and standing.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and hire store associates to serve customers.
• Foster growth and development of associates through training and coaching.
• Oversee and delegate all store activities to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Ensure full compliance with laws, regulations and company policies.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Implement operational and merchandising direction from corporate headquarters.
• Help the store reach its maximum profit contribution.
• Protect company assets.
• Maintain high level of customer service across the store.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
