The Store Manager In Training (SMIT) role is designed to develop you into a future CVS Store Manager. This 16-week, self-paced program combines virtual and hands-on learning, supported by your District Leader, Human Resources Business Partner, Training Store Manager, and Store Manager coach.

Key Skills Required

• Effective verbal and written communication skills to lead your team.
• Customer care skills to deliver high service levels.
• Ability to execute merchandising strategies to support store sales growth.
• Store inventory and asset management to maintain profitability.

Expectations for SMITs

• Engage actively with leadership during the program to support your promotion path.
• Support store operations and lead in alignment with CVS values and policies.
• Inspire colleagues to support the company's purpose of helping people on their path to better health.
• Be willing to accept promotion opportunities within the market.

Promotion to Store Manager is not guaranteed and depends on performance and available openings.

Minimum Requirements

• Willingness to accept a Store Manager role at any location within the market.
• Ability to transfer to other CVS stores within the market.
• Flexible schedule to meet business needs.
• High School diploma or GED; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Retail management experience or CVS supervisory experience is a plus.

• Weekly Hours: 45
• Employment Type: Full-time
• Pay Range: $18.50 - $23.88 per hour
