The Store Manager In Training (SMIT) job is a development-focused role designed to prepare you for a CVS Store Manager position.

The SMIT program aims to enhance your career as a future store leader through a self-paced, collaborative training over 16 weeks, including virtual and hands-on learning experiences. Your development will be supported by your District Leader, Human Resources Business Partner, Training Store Manager, and Store Manager coach.

Skills Needed for This Role

• Communicate effectively verbally and in writing to support and lead your team.
• Perform customer care duties to provide high levels of service.
• Execute merchandising strategies to support store sales growth.
• Manage store inventory and assets to maintain profitability.

Responsibilities and Expectations

• Actively engage with your leader in Key Learning Experiences supporting your promotion path during the program.
• Support your store as a management team member and lead in accordance with CVS values and policies.
• Engage colleagues to support CVS’s purpose of "helping people on their path to better health."
• Be willing to accept promotion roles within the market.

Additional Requirements

• Willingness to accept a Store Manager role at any location within the market.
• Ability to transfer to other CVS stores within the market.
• Ability to work a schedule that varies based on business needs.
• High School diploma or GED (required).
• Bachelor's Degree (preferred) or relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.

Job Details

• Anticipated Weekly Hours: 45
• Time Type: Full time
• Pay Range: $18.50 - $28.67 per hour
