Location: Heartland BU - Region 03 - Market 07: 6559 State Rte 162, Maryville, Illinois 62062.

Availability - Shift/Days: Full time, Flexible Availability.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. High School diploma or GED preferred.
  2. Experience in retail sales preferred.
  3. Ability to perform essential duties and work conditions described below.
  4. Ability to supervise and train staff as per CSR and ASM job descriptions.
  5. Ability to supervise store functions as per CSR and ASM roles.
  6. Computer skills for report analysis, inventory, cash control, etc.
  7. Valid driver’s license and transportation for meetings.
  8. Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities, and Skills:

Leadership and Management
  • Recruit, hire, and train employees to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Manage site cleanliness, stock, organization, and appearance.
  • Maintain professional image among staff and supervisors.
  • Schedule employees to optimize service and site image.
  • Apply non-discriminatory management practices in hiring, training, and counseling.
Site Relationships
  • Build positive relationships with suppliers.
  • Address customer complaints professionally and promptly.
  • Promote a safe, positive community image.
Training and Development
  • Conduct performance appraisals and provide feedback.
  • Train employees on customer service, site standards, and safety.
Communication
  • Ensure timely and effective communication with staff.
  • Hold regular meetings with employees and managers.
Organizing and Planning
  • Develop action plans to meet site goals.
  • Maintain site files and manuals.
  • Ensure reports are completed accurately and timely.
  • Manage merchandise presentation and pricing.
  • Post employment-related notices visibly.
Financial
  • Analyze sales and expenses to maximize profits.
  • Manage budgets, merchandise margins, and safeguard cash.
Working Conditions
  • Primarily indoor work, with outdoor tasks like cleaning.
  • Occasional exposure to cold temperatures and noise.
  • Work independently and demonstrate leadership at all times.
