The Store Manager In Training (SMIT) role is designed to prepare you for a CVS Store Manager position through a 16-week, self-paced, collaborative training program that includes virtual and hands-on learning experiences. Your growth will be supported by your District Leader, Human Resources Business Partner, Training Store Manager, and Store Manager coach.

Skills Needed for This Role

• Effective verbal and written communication skills to support and lead your team.
• Customer care skills to provide high levels of service.
• Ability to execute merchandising strategies to support store sales growth.
• Management of store inventory and assets to maintain profitability.

Expectations for SMITs

• Engage actively with your leader during Key Learning Experiences to support your promotion pathway.
• Support your store as a management team member and lead in accordance with CVS values and policies.
• Engage colleagues in supporting the company's purpose of helping people on their path to better health.
• Be willing to accept promotion roles within the market.

Note: Selection for the SMIT position does not guarantee promotion to Store Manager. Promotion depends on performance and available openings.

Minimum Requirements

• Willingness to accept a Store Manager role at any location within the designated market.
• Ability to transfer to other CVS stores within the market.
• Flexible work schedule based on business needs.
• High School diploma or GED (required).
• Bachelor's Degree (preferred) or relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.

Additional Details

• Anticipated weekly hours: 45
• Time type: Full time
• Pay range: $18.50 - $23.88 per hour, depending on experience and location
