Job summary

SteinsGardenCenters is seeking a Store Manager in Big Bend, WI to lead daily store operations, drive revenue and profitability, and deliver exceptional customer experiences. You will partner with district leadership to execute merchandising plans, manage staffing, and uphold safety and compliance standards.

The role requires strong leadership, retail metrics knowledge, and hands-on oversight of operations, with travel to nearby stores as needed (~15%).

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or minimum 4 years related experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of key retail metrics, consumer and product trends.
Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills to develop partnerships with store personnel, vendors, buyers and corporate leadership.
Excellent computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, Inventory and POS software).
Strong collaborative, negotiation and communication skills.
Strong analytical skills to translate financial data and business indicators into actionable information to drive results.
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop associates—provide coaching to store associates and managers.
Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently with excellent organization skills.
Travel to stores as needed to support company activities and business needs (about 15%).

Responsibilities

Personally assist in developing a culture aligned with the organization’s vision, mission and values.
Attain optimal financial performance through exceeding customer expectations while maintaining store operations excellence.
Collaborate with District leadership on financial goals, budgets, initiatives and policies.
Execute merchandising and marketing plans with precise setup and timely feedback.
Monitor store performance, review KPIs, and communicate opportunities for improvement.
Oversee inventory receiving, scheduling, customer service, store housekeeping and process improvements.
Ensure compliance with hiring, compensation, benefits, laws and regulations.
Lead safety initiatives and maintain a safe environment for customers and associates.
Partner with District Manager to develop annual capital improvements and maintain store conditions.
Manage staffing, development, succession planning and uphold company values.
Protect company assets including inventory and facilities.
