Our client, a Wisconsin-based retailer near Waukesha, seeks a Retail Store Manager to lead a 20+ team and own store operations. The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, accountability, and collaboration to drive profitability and customer satisfaction.

The position involves managing seasonal staffing levels, merchandising resets, and close coordination with vendors and corporate leadership. Location is Big Bend, with local travel possible and a strong focus on culture and training.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a retail store manager with full ownership of operations.
• Management experience with 20+ team members.
• Excellent computer skills, including experience with Inventory & POS software.
• Ability to attend offsite training 1 day per week for the first 3 months.
• Ability to work 100% on-site

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on leadership to support store operations, profitability, and customer experience
• Implement and monitor merchandising resets and marketing plans
• Oversee all staff (23-32 people), including Assistant Managers & department leads
• Provide coaching to store associates and Assistant Managers
• Create a daily plan and staff assignments
• Oversee inventory, scheduling, and customer service processes
• Track store performance, KPIs, and address areas of concern
• Start-up computer systems for opening and support cashiers with troubleshooting as needed
• Ensure daily cycle counts are completed and sent to the corporate office
• Align store culture with company vision and values
• Develop strong partnerships with store personnel, buyers, vendors, and corporate leadership
• Protect and maintain company assets and resources.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards
